Join us for this fascinating exploration of hand stitched stories on fabric that will bring a special memory to life. This is a one day workshop. We will experiment and play with:- Hand embroidery and/or free motion stitching
- Sheer overlays
- Stamping and inking on fabric and paper
- Mounting your work
I want you to think about some of the favorite things, people, places, or events in your life that have been very meaningful to you. You can do more than make a pretty picture, you can create something that resonates deeply with you or someone special to you. Or, you can include some of your favorite things that just make you happy! What could be better than that?
There are lots of options for what you can include in your piece, so start collecting those images, mementos, trims, ribbons, buttons, or whatever else catches your fancy. You could also include bits of paper in your piece. Information for printing photos on fabric will be included in the Student’s Supply List.
No experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome.
