My affinity for silk is obvious. There is no other fiber that comes even close. I love it in all of its shapes, forms, and variations.
Here we have silk organza used for the flower which is on the silk crepe de chine background, and lovely ribbons are cut from metallic silk organza in a tarnished brass color. The flower is hand painted with Tsukineko inks, and the background was painted with Setacolor. Crocosmia leaves created the resist for the sword-shapes.
I love these photos showing the details of the flower. on the flower petal, you can see the delicate copper colored spots I painted on the organza.The next image shows the detail of the center of the flower which was painted with inks.
