Craft Napa 2022 Follow Up
In spite of all the trials and tribulations involved in holding an in-person conference in these times, Craft Napa turned out to be a really wonderful event.
It was my first time attending, and I was more than pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and common courtesy of everyone involved: the hotel staff, the event coordinators, the teachers, and especially the students.
As usual, on the first day which was the Goldfinch Collage, I forgot to take any photos at all. That is typical because I was so focused on the students.
However, I did manage to snap a few photos on the second and third days. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to finally teach in person again. This was only the second time in the last two years I have done so.

The students were all just wonderful, and it was so nice to see familiar faces and get reacquainted with previous students. And it was great to meet so many new students. The enthusiasm was contagious, and it was so nice to see people enjoying themselves. I think we all needed this respite from all that has been going on.

Pokey Bolton did an outstanding job of making this event such a great success for us all. I know she had to deal with an awful lot of uncertainty and a multitude of challenges surrounding this event, but she handled it with grace and a positive outlook. so thank you Pokey for everything!
We were all just so happy to be there, and every precaution was taken to make it as safe as possible.
