The Grid Stencil works great as a stand alone design or as a background for any of the other stencil designs. When using a stencil in the background, it works best to paint the foreground first, then place the background over the top of the main image you painted. Only paint up to about 1/2" from the main shape, and your piece will look like it is very dimensional.
